Schmetz Piecing & Quilting Sewing Machine Needle Bundle

The Schmetz Piecing & Quilting Bundle is perfect for the quilting and sewing enthusiast who would like to sample different types and sizes of needles. These needles work with all home sewing machine brands that use a 15x1 needle system. Topstitch Needles
Schmetz 130 N Topstitch Needles feature a very long eye (2mm in all sizes) that make this needle excellent for various decorative sewing and embroidery when using heavy or multiple threads. This needle helps stitch flawlessly straight lines and even stitches. Using a straight stitch plate is beneficial if you expect perfectly straight topstitching results.

Microtex/Sharp
Microtex/Sharp Needles feature a slim acute point that makes this needle excellent for piercing fine or densely woven fabrics, microfiber materials, and synthetic leather. It was designed for modern microfibers/polyesters and high thread count/ high-quality fabrics that are commonly used today. The point is quite sharp – hence the name – but because of this, it is a little more fragile and needs to be changed more regularly but produces a lovely straight stitch. The Microtex/Sharp Needle is a great needle for piecing high thread count fabrics like Batiks, silks, and microfibers. It is also used to create stunning topstitching and perfectly straight stitches for quilt piecing

Quilting Needles
Quilting Needles feature a slim acute point and tapered tip that makes this needle excellent for piercing tightly woven quilting material without causing damage. These needles are made specifically for piecing and machine quilting. The thin tapered form of these needles allow them to move through many layers smoothly to help eliminate skipped stitches while keeping stitches even. These needles come in two sizes: size 75/11, which is fine for piecing with 50 weight threads, or size 90/14, which works well with heavier plain or variegated 40 weight threads for quilting.

Denim Needles
Schmetz 130 H-J ZWI NE 4.0 Denim/Jeans Twin Needle is perfect for sewing double rows at the same time on extra-thick woven fabrics with minimum deflection and reduced risk of damaged fabric and skipped stitches. Made especially for sewing through densely woven materials such as denim or imitation leather. It is both strong and sharp. Please Note: To use a Twin Needle, your machine MUST have a front or top loading bobbin, a zig-zag stitch, AND the flat side of the needle shank faces the back of your machine.

Universal Needles
Schmetz 130/705H Universal Needles have a slightly rounded point making them a great general-purpose needle for sewing a variety of woven and knit fabrics. These needles can be used in household sewing machine brands where needles with a flat shank are required. Most Schmetz Needles include two color-coded bands just below the shank. The top color indicates the type of needle, and the lower color indicates the size. Most Schmetz universal needles will not have an upper color code. The color bands on these needles will differ per size. Schmetz 130/705H Universal Needles is a pack of five needles in a plastic case that slides shut for safe storage. The needle system, needle type, and needle size are printed on the front of the case.
